Honor the Legacy of Meghan Steinberg
January 23, 2026, marks the 10th anniversary of Meghan Steinberg’s passing, a moment to honor not only her life, but her enduring vision for cancer care at UofL Health – Brown Cancer Center (BCC). Meghan believed deeply in the importance of movement during cancer treatment. To her, exercise was more than physical — it was a way to maintain strength, purpose, and hope throughout the cancer journey. Even while facing her own diagnosis, she pushed herself and encouraged others to keep climbing.
Continuing Meghan’s Dream
This campaign will help advance Meghan's Gym, a rehabilitation gym on the oncology floor of the new UofL Hospital Tower, expanding opportunities for patients to stay active, rebuild strength, and continue climbing through treatment and recovery.
Funds raised will support:
- Equipment and resources for the new rehabilitation gym
- Expanded access to therapeutic exercise for cancer patients
Any funds raised beyond the goal will help address additional patient needs, including assistance with housing, meals, and other essential supports that ease the burden of treatment.
Donors who contribute $5,000 or more will be recognized in Meghan’s Gym as well as on the new UofL Hospital Donor Wall. Meghan’s Mountain will be notified of all gifts received.
